The cutest little tool box that ever did live, ideas and a guest post



 

 I received the cutest thing in the mail yesterday.  Isn't this miniature tool box the coolest?!?

Look closely at that handle. It's a twig!


 Naturally I had to get right into it and try the box out several ways. 

Even something this minuscule can have important uses.

 

 Check out the attention to Funky Junk detail. My barn star is stamped on both sides. Sweet! And the box is gently distressed after being stained with my trademark woodsy preference.


 The box also has my name on one side and bare on the other so I can switch it out. Cool!

This adorable tool box was built and sent to me by none other than Julie at follow your heart woodworking. What a cool reminder on the toolbox workshop we're currently hosting!

    That is the most adorable little toolbox Ive ever seen. lucky you! I loved your tutorial last week on how to make one. Once I get some warm weather and sunshine here in the Northeast I will attempt it.

    Gee thanks, Donna! I just wanted to send something to thank you for having me as a guest host and for all the inspiration you give us all throughout the year.

    Now come on everyone... make one - no excuses. For the little one I used a piece of poplar you can buy in any DIY store and some finishing nails... very easy!

    Also, as Jeanine said, it's a good way to get your children interested in making things.

    This has to be the cutest mini tool box ever. When I needed one years ago I didn't know how to properly build one and the height was too short. I painted it and use it in my craft area. Now I have inspiration for making more to help organize. I need something to hold my mini glue sticks hmmmm....maybe a bit larger one for that. I think this one would be a good size for the computer area to hold my mini stapler and staples. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Thanks to Julie for the tip on the wood to use and for making something we can all get inspired with.
