This weekend I'm taking you on a tour of Kim from Sand and Sisal's laundry room.
After seeing this amazing transformation, I'm more inspired than ever to work on my own!
Once a standard builder's grade look is now transformed into a beautiful light and bright space with beach influenced touches throughout.
Why I love this room
Colour
The colour of the walls makes a subtle yet complete statement. It speaks up with just the right volume and is delightfully easy on the eyes.
Organization
Everything has a purpose, presented in a beautiful way.
I adore the built in laundry basket station. The double decker shelving makes it easy for the kids to pitch in with the help, delegating a basket for their own clothes. I'm crazy about the height of the baskets which allows for a folding station on top. Perfect use for this little nook!
Open storage
Regular boxed and bottled laundry goods storage also received a facelift. Pretty baskets and bottles hold everything in view on floating shelves on either side of the window, alleviating the need for overhead cabinets, which would have closed up the visual space moreso. Open shelving allows for an easy breezy feeling.
I'm taking notes, Kim! :)
Do-able!
There aren't any high ticket fancy elements required to make this room complete. Just a good sense of design and organization, keeping functionality in mind.
But there's more to see.
Check out the full reveal post HERE.
Your room is beautiful, Kim! Thanks for allowing me to highlight it this weekend!
