SNS 132 link party - Porches and patios

Welcome to Saturday Nite Special #132, the multi themed DIY link party!

* Home Decor / Gardening
 * Crafts, / Sewing / Recipes / Printables / Blog tips
* Theme of the week

Every Fri 7pm  to Sunday 11 pm Pacific.

... continued...

If you were to ask me what kind of porch I dream of having, this would be it.

Today's patio / porch feature takes us for a visit to

LaurieAnna's Vintage Home.

This gorgeous porch is loaded with old world charm, chippy goodness and is just flat out beautiful.

The lovely white features chime so well with the barn wood styled flooring and black accents. And then there's that bench!

But I know what your eye grabbed first. The sign is a total show stopper in itself. Finding a sign to create a theme is a whimsical way to bring art into your outdoor space.

No great porch is complete without beautiful storage as well. Out of the way wire baskets serve to also hang a row of greens for an added burst of summer.

Tip: benches near a doorway serve as the perfect spot to drop your purse and Starbucks cinnamon dolce latte while you unlock the door... :)

But it doesn't end there. Around the corner is another lovely sitting and eating area. That huge rustic clock just draws your eye in, begging you to sit a good long while. I'd totally make sure it didn't work if I had a sitting area like this!

And then there's the keyhole garden down below, decked out in blooming flowers and the whitest whites.

To see the rest of this amazing space, visit HERE.

LaurieAnna, you have one amazing porch! Thanks for allowing me to share it with everyone. :)

Do you have a lovely porch / patio area that's ready for a reveal?
Please share it in this weekend's 3rd themed linkup! (an extension to 2011)

Coming up next:

May 11 - bird themed anythings
May 18 - barbed wire
May 25 - Picture Perfect full room reveals

  7. Donna,
    Oh how I love LaurieAnna's porch! It's a bit too early in the year for a full out fantastic patio - but now that it's warming up, it's coming!

    Just scored the most amazing vintage glider - can't wait to work around that beauty!

  11. Beautiful outdoor living space by LaurieAnna! I have been toiling in ninety degree heat to try and defeat the yard invaders. I posted my progress so far - my drive-in garden at the end of my driveway!. I am envious of those who have finished. Thanks for the porch party!

  23. Hi, just wanted to say thanks for the opportunity to link up this weekend. I posted the link to a post with a video in it about a redo (house painting) project I'm working on. Just for fun. Hope that's okay. Wasn't sure if it fit in with the guidelines. If not, let me know so I don't do the wrong thing again. Thanks so much for you blog and hosting the parties!

  29. Donna, thank you for this wonderful theme exactly when I need it!
    As soon as the rain stops I am going out to "do up" my porch right proper.
    I just thrifted two shelving units MADE for my porch. (And they will be even better after a little personalization.)

    Laurie Anna, your porch is beautiful and inspiring, and I hope you do not mind if I borrow a few ideas.

    I will spend much time clicking links tonight!

  31. Donna,

    Thank you so much for the FB shout-out ... seriously, you made my weekend! And so sorry for the late 'thanks.' It's not a question of appreciation. More a question of my crazy 'I need to stock my Etsy shop with more pillows so I've been a slave to the sewing machine' thing ...

    Again. Thanks.

    :)

  38. Donna,

    I am in love with that sign on Laurie Ann's back porch. I want to marry it....or at the very least take it out to a fancy dinner. I am running over to her site to pin it and then spending the rest of the day figuring out how to make it for my own back porch!

    Thanks for the inspiration.
