JUNK vs. Stockings... guess which won

Our quirky, stockingless, junkin' candy dish ways by Funky Junk Interiors, guesting on FOLK Magazine's blog

I have a confession. We don't use STOCKINGS for Christmas. (gasp!!)

In fact, I've never used a stocking for its intended purpose before. Like, ever.

I tried, but between my mom and I, I think we've come up with something even better. Wanna see?

I'm guest posting at FOLK Magazine's blog today with my little story!

  1. OH I LOVE your idea! As a kid growing up and even now we use stockings but I have to admit there is a certain allure to the plates/tins/junk idea that you showed! In fact if there isn't too much protest I think it is something I would like to implement next year.... and I must confess... I find myself coveting your beautiful muffin tin. nothing makes my heart go pitter patter more than old bakeware... sigh. In fact I am hoping to convince a couple of boys to go yard saling with me next summer... ya know to do some early Christmas shopping. :)

Have a wonderful day! (do you celebrate boxing day? if so Happy boxing day!... if not, have a wonderful day nevertheless!)

  2. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas ( a few days late) and a Happy New Year!

We did not decorate at all this year, but yes, there are novelty stockings waiting for next year. It depends upon if we have some place to hang them and each year is different.
