this weekend's theme
Ok, so you know I got a new camera yesterday, right? I'll put (nc) beside the new camera pictures because I know you'll be curious over the next little while.
I'm always picking up weird stuff. And what makes me enjoy certain finds even more is having NO idea what they are.
Kinda like these guys. What is this stuff?!? Eh.. who cares. It was galvanized and kinda cool. And naturally I had NO idea what to do with it on collecting day.
So then I start playing. Hmmm... it bends and holds it's shape... could it hold something? How?
I needed it too! And it blends right in with the crate stairway and wacky artifacts on the wall. (nc)
Let's try one more.
What's this crazy thing?!? No idea. But it's pretty big.
And then it came to me. This one's for Kolein. :) She one time said I had the ability to stick a rusty something into the wall and make it sing as a toilet paper holder, so....
What's your weirdest find to date?

Say, maybe if I connected it behind this old crate sign I've had forever... ok, now what will it's purpose be?
How about holding mail? I like it! (nc)

Sorry to hear about your old camera, but it is very exciting to get a new one. I bet you are having fun learning all it's bells and whistles and will be asking Miss Mustard Seed lots of questions now that your cameras are buddies. :)

LOVE the mail holder! Old wood and galvanized metal~I might start drooling!
ReplyDeleteGreat mail holder....I love the way you see things from a different perspective.
ReplyDeleteLove the toilet paper roll holder. Very nice! It actually goes along with my oddest find to date, which is actually my mother's oddest find. It was an antique urinal that came from my step-dad's uncle's estate (that's a mouth full). What did she use said piece for? Well, she hung it above the guest toilet as a flower pot. Yes, toilet turned flower pot. I cannot even express how upset she was when someone knocked it down and broke it. Not exactly something that people keep lying around, so she'll probably never find another one.
ReplyDeleteYou have such wonderful, creative, useful, fun ideas! I love them both!!
ReplyDeleteyou are so creative!! i just can't get over it. :)
ReplyDeleteAs always...super cool things!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Donna!

Okay, seriously, I LOVE the TP holder!!! I've been needing one (right now it sits on the back of the toilet, or on the edge of the tub and then gets knocked in, ugh) but I have a meat hook that would be PERFECT for this! YAY!!! Thanks as always for the inspiration!
