What do you get when you take a stamp and some fabric, and say, maybe even a stick?
WOWSA is exactly what you get. Hand stamped curtains with the most original rustic curtain rod by Make Mine Beautiful. Isn't this awesome? A wonderful tutorial as well.
And then there's the one where Storing Up My Treasures created a starburst mirror out of... cd disks and skewers. Total extreme junkin' to jewels here. Gorgeous! Love the striking simplicity (not to mention metal) of the bursts.
Your eyes are not playing DIY tricks on you. This wonderful ottoman use to be a sidetable with great lines but very tired everything else. What a fabulous piece along with an outstanding tutorial, by Crafty Sisters.
Here's another sidetable idea. This one made me CRAZY. Songbird painted a vintage suitcase along with the table and created a very one of a kind dreamy pair. LOVE this!
I have NEVER come across such a romantic FAUX fireplace. Mod Vintage Life knows her vintage builds. This is a tutorial with a real lesson so if you're a fact fanatic, you'll love this writeup.
I'd call this pillow jewelry. Take a look how a few silk flowers and cute beads transform something plain into something pictoral. A great tutorial is included by Live for each Moment.
A little junkin' craziness
How about something totally off the wall just for fun silliness? I spotted this little gem at a local gas station in my town. A photo op is a photo op.
This, my friends, is a...
license plate holder of course!
"Before you is any metal lover's dream doodad. The rusty patina blends in perfectly with the natural setting of.."
Hey, just for fun, would you like to caption this one in comments? Go for it. What text would you pair up with this creative craziness?!?
"This IS my garage. What was your question again?"
"Beats duct tape."
I dunno! Come up with something in comments if you desire. :)
Blah blah rules for the SNS linkup:
1. Please link up your intended post, no your main blog. (post, then click on title of your post, cut and paste that url)
2. Please put a link in your post that leads back to the party so others can see what's up! (scroll button on sidebar if you wish)
3. I've allowed 75 characters in the link title area, so go ahead and tell us your blog name AND project description. There's room. :)

*4. This party is geared for *DIY type projects we can all attempt to make ourselves. Items for sale may be linked up IF your entry is posted on your blog and in tutorial style (unless making the item is self explanatory).
Yahoo! Sat morning with fresh ground coffee goes VERY well with SNS. :)
Oh my goodness... that is hilarious!! Now that is something you don't see every day! I love your caption, "beats duct tape"... too funny! :)

Thank you for the feature my friend.
ReplyDeleteHere's Mine:
"Funky Strong or Junky (Donna) Gone." (assuming the whole town knows your reputation for taking any metal that isn't strapped down and protected.)
Eh Bob, the fuzz is following us again, let's change over to the Sonora Mexico plate.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Donna. How about, "Junk is my vice!"
ReplyDeleteThank You so much for featuring my button art on your sidebar. It seriously just made my day! Have a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteI was stopping by to read some more of this week's links and spotted my cloche and pedestal on your sidebar. Thank you for featuring me! It has been fun for the last couple of weeks doing cloche/pedestal projects because as you know everyone loves cloches.... and everything looks better under a cloche! xo Joan@anythinggoeshere
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! That looks like traveling Ad"vice" to me.
ReplyDeleteLoads of great links again. Thanks! You're the hostess with the mostest!
Oh my goodness! Sorry about the double comment here, but I just checked my blog and learned about my honored spot in your sidebar! Thank you, thank you! Really made my day! ... and no, I did not get this idea from PB, it's straight outta my little head :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have anything funny to say, but that picture is ridiculous, and everyone else's comments are pretty good too.
