Welcome to Saturday Nite Special #8!
If you're new here, kick off your shoes and join in! This weekend's theme is anything goes, so feel free to post a *DIY project of yours, past or present that you're proud of so we can clap along with you!
Party starts at Fri night and ends Sunday 11pm, so you have all weekend to join!
I LOVE to highlight inspiring posts, so make sure you check after the party to see if your blog is in lights.I sneak in some features in my sidebar widget during the party too. :)
And I have some exciting news for you! This weekend we have a giveaway!
Allow me to introduce to you...
Christine, the artist of Jaz Creations, who creates the most unique unusual creative digital artwork I've personally ever seen, wants to give away her artwork in the form of a boxed set of cards!
I was Christine's first follower so she gifted me with a box of this wonderful set, and right away, I knew I wanted to share the love! So Christine graciously offered to send a set to a lucky SNS winner!
How are they made? Her style is called fractal art. In her words,
"Fractal Art is created on a computer using specialized mathematical formulas. Every element of my work – shape, color, texture, and lighting – is controlled by these mathematical formulas, and I, in turn, control the formulas by manipulating their parameters."
The boxed cover of the cards shows a few of her designs. My personal fav is this one, that resembles a snowflake! Isn't it amazing?!? I love how she made every square fraction of an inch with a technique I can't even fathom, never mind implement myself. Talk about a true DIY project!! Love your creations, Christine, and thank-you for your generous offer!
Make sure you check out Christine's Etsy shop if you wish to purchase any of her ready to go artwork in 11 x 14 prints! If her artwork is sold out on Etsy, you can email her to order either art or the cards at JAZCreations@gmail.com.
So, here's how to qualify for the draw...
1. Enter your *DIY project to the party. (make note of the # your entry is at)
2. Visit Christine's site HERE and memorize the NAME of your favorite Christine creation.
3. Come back to the COMMENTS HERE, and write...
- the # of your DIY entry
- the NAME of your favorite design
- your email address so I can contact you easily.
That's it! You're entered!
The random selector will choose a lucky winner from the comments area! From there, I'll cross reference and find your DIY entry.
The first entry I hit with random.org that adheres to all the info as per #3 is the fortunate one with the gorgeous cards in the mail!
Link Rules:
1. Please link up to your post, not your blog. (post, then click on your title and cut that url)
2. Please put a link in your post that leads back to the party so others can see what's up!
3. Please put in your blog name and project description. IE: Funky Junk Interiors - how to cut metal. As the numbers grow in the party, this info is helpful for those seeking certain types of posts, hence, you will get more hits! I have allowed more typing space to accommodate this type of entry.
*4. This party is geared for *DIY type projects we can all attempt to make ourselves. Items for sale may be linked up IF your entry is posted on your blog and in tutorial style (unless making the item is self explanatory).
I really don't like removing links, but if yours is missing, please reread the rules and try again. Thanks!
Good luck and happy weekend inspiration to all!
Christine does beautiful work. I like Abalone in the Moon. It reminds me of seashells shimmering in the moon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful artwork, I took a look and I do really like the "FROSTED" snowflake. Maybe it's because of the season, but it's beautiful!
